An Intentional Year
I never make New Year’s Resolutions for myself because I find that they are usually just lofty goals that haven’t been well thought out so when it comes time to work toward that goal, there’s no plan in place. It becomes more like an “I hope...” than “I will...”
This year though, I’ve thought a lot about what I would like to achieve and the steps I would need to be successful. I was listening to Dave Ramsey and he said that goals without a plan are really just a wish. He’s right. Without being thoughtful about the steps you need to take, you end up spending lots of time just daydreaming about the what ifs.
One word that has been in my spirit is INTENTIONAL. This year I want to focus on really being intentional with my time, my health, my finances, my relationships, my love, my talent, my actions, and my faith. My husband and I have been spending a lot of time talking about what that would actually look like and what steps we need to take to be intentional in these areas and glorify God in all areas of our lives.
"Let all that you do be done in love." 1 Corinthians 16:14
This verse continues to be given to me in different ways. I feel like it’s God’s way of telling me this is His “goal” (His will) for me in this upcoming year.
So if you see me posting this verse, it’s most likely me intentionally reminding myself what God has commanded me to do in 2018.
With Love,
Stacey
