Filtered Through the Father
The Lord revealed something to me this past week. Or maybe He was just reminding me of something that I had forgotten, everything is filtered through our Heavenly Father.
"For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen." Romans 11:36
Those of us that are believers, know that doesn't exclude us from trials or tribulations. We endure suffering just as unbelievers do. We feel pain, we experience trauma, we endure hardships, we get caught in the storms of life just as everyone does who lives in this fallen world.
"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." James 1:12
Being reminded, however, that everything is filtered through my Heavenly Father's loving hands, drastically changes my perspective not only on how I look at things but how I handle them.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
The Lord tells us in His word that what was meant for our harm, He will use for our good. How comforting it is to know that when we are attacked by the enemy, we can put it in His hands and come out stronger, wiser, victorious.
"You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good." Genesis 50:20
Instead of worrying and allowing fear to control me when I'm in the midst of a trial or hardship, I can rise up in faith, knowing that if He has allowed something in my life, it is a for a greater purpose and He already has a divine solution.
"I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." John 16:33
No matter your circumstances brothers and sisters, rise up in faith! Our Father in Heaven tells us through His word that there is glory in our suffering. Find your peace and take heart for God has overcome the world! Be strong and courageous for our Heavenly Father has great things in store for His children.
"Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." Romans 5:3-4
With Love,
Stacey
